Jack Shields Christensen, “Uncle Jack,” suddenly passed away on May 7, 2018 at the age of 87. For creative purposes over the years he was also legally known as: Chris Christensen, Scott Burlington, and Reverend “Revi” Fiercely. He was fully active to his last day.
As a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1951-1954, a Committal Service and Interment is scheduled for
Friday, September 21, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl Crater, Honolulu, Hawai‘i.
It will take place in the Upper Committal Service Court (Plaza) with curbside parking available along Outer Drive (links and map below).
All friends and acquaintances are cordially invited. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before 1:00 p.m. A brief recounting of Jack’s life and interests will be presented by close friends, including messages from family. This will be followed by military honors and then interment in the Columbaria Court 7, Wall D, Niche 121. Additional remembrances, memorial expressions, and messages will continue after. Dress will be island casual, and instead of floral tributes, it is suggested that attendees buy and wear their own favorite lei in memory of Jack.
